Advice of the Day in Islam

“Whomsoever Allah wishes good
for, He gives him understanding
of the Religion.”

—Prophet Muhammad (recorded by Bukhari)

Suicide Bombing in Islam

“In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful.”

Is Suicide Bombing a Part of Islam?

  • Comiting suicide in general is Haram in Islam.
  • Suicide bombing is Haram - Prohibited!

Committing suicide is completely prohibited in Islam, and here's why.

According to the Holy Qura'an:

“Give generously for the cause of God and do not with your own hands cast yourselves into destruction. Be charitable; God loves the charitable.” (Quran: Ch 2, verse 195)
Killing innocent human being is prohibited in Islam:
“That was why We laid it down for the Israelites that whoever killed a human being, except as punishment for murder or other villainy in the land, shall be deemed as having killed all mankind; and that whoever saved a human life shall be deemed as having saved all mankind.” (Quran: Chapter 5 verse 32)
Learn your Deen for the sake of what you are fighting for.
The only destiny for the one that commits suicide bombing is the HellFire - FOREVER! And Allah knows best.

Eid Mubarak

  • "Taqabbala Allahu minna wa minkum."
  • ("May Allah accept from us, and from you.")

Return to Allah

The key to solving all our problems in the Ummah is to return back to our religion al-Islam, based on the Quran and Sunnah. And stop selling it for a short-term pleasure in this dunya. Ameen!

May Allah guide us back to this beautiful deen of ours. There is none like it! The one - The Only True Religion! ISLAM!!!

DO NOT DIE EXCEPT AS A MUSLIM!

Fasting in the Month of Shawwal: Fast Six Days of Shawwal after Ramadan

“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal, it is as if they fasted the entire year.” [Muslim, Thirmidhee, Abu Dawud]

It is highly recommended to fast six days of the month of Shawwal.

How to Fast in Shawwal after Ramadan/Eid al-Fitr
It is best to fast six days consecutively. It is also permitted to fast these six days separately/ non-consecutively throughout the month, after Eid al-Fitr, during Shawwal.
However, delaying the fast can result in one becoming lazy and not fasting, so it is best to fulfill the sunnah by fasting six days consecutively immediately after Eid al-Fitr in Shawwal. However, neither is disliked and both consecutive and non-consecutive days will fulfill the sunnah, inshallah. If you fear that you will not be able to fulfill the recommendation due to laziness or forgetfulness, then you should hasten to fast the six days consecutively immediately after Eid al-Fitr.
Reward for Fasting Six Days of Shawwal after Ramadan

The reward is equivalent to having fasted for the entire year. “Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal, it is as if they fasted the entire year.” [Muslim, Thirmidhee, Abu Dawud]

Also, a good deed in Islam is rewarded 10 times, so fasting 30 days in Ramadan and 6 days more days after Eid al-Fitr during Shawwāl is equivalent to fasting the whole year in terms of reward.
Can I Fast on Eid al-Fitr?
No. However, you may start your six days of fasting beginning the day after Eid al-Fitr, in the month of Shawwal.
When is the First Day of Shawwal?
The first day of Shawwāl is Eid al-Fitr.
Fasting Six Days of Shawwal after Ramadan is Like Fasting the Entire Year
If you are able to fulfill this sunnah, you should take advantage of this opportunity of acquiring such an enormous reward.

The Night of Decree: Lailatul-Qadr

Whoever prays during the Night of Decree/ Lailatul-Qudar, with firm belief and expecting reward for it, his previous sins are forgiven,” -Bukhari and Muslim
When is the Night of Degree?
The Night of Decree is one of the odd nights of the last ten nights in Ramadan.
The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “I was informed (of the date of the Night of Decree) but I was caused to forget it (or I forgot); so, search for it in the odd nights of the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan.”  Reported by Muslim
Signs of Laylatul-Qadr: The Morning After Laylatul-Qadr
The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, described the morning after Lailatul-Qadr, so that we may know when it occurred. The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “On the morning following Lailatui-Qadr the sun rises not having any rays, as if it were a brass dish, until it rises up.” -[Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmithi and Ibn Majah]
Special Invocation for the Night of Decree
Supplicate by saying “O’ Allah! You are the Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me.”
Also:
  • Strive more in worship during the last ten nights of Ramadan.
  • Stay awake all night for prayer and devote all your time to worshiping your Lord
  • Get the whole family involved by making sure they are also worshipping Allah.
  • Devote yourself in worshipping Allah, and seeking His forgiveness.
  • Be more diligent in worshipping Allah during the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Allah (SWT) says in his noble Quran: “Verily, We sent it (the Quran) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)* And what will make you know what The Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angles and the Ruh (Gabriel) by Allah’s permission with all Decrees (All that nights), there is peace (and  goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn” [Al-Qadr:97]. Whoever is deprived of its good is really deprived (of something great).

Zakat: Mandatory Charity

Zakat is one of the five pillars of Islam. Spending in charity and doing kind acts during the month of Ramadan is more virtuous than during any other month.
Zakat is a certain amount of wealth and property that a muslim has to pay yearly for the benefit of the poor. Every muslim with a certain amount of wealth must pay zakat. It purifies one’s wealth. If you are not sure how much you have to pay, ask your Imam.
“And those who hoard up gold and silver (zakat of which has not been paid) and spend them not in the way of Allah, announce unto them a painful torment. On the day when that wealth will be heated in the fire of Hell and with it will be branded on their foreheads, their flanks, and their backs, (and it will be said unto them): This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourself. Now taste of what you used to hoard.” [9:34-35]
The Recipients of Zakat
As mentioned in the Quran, the recipients of zakat fall within eight groups of people:
  1. Zakat for the poor
  2. Zakat for the needy who do not beg
  3. To attract the hearts of those who have been inclined towards Islam
  4. To free the captives
  5. For those in debt
  6. For Allah’s cause: those fighting in war for the cause of Islam
  7. To a traveler who is cut off from everything, and
  8. Those employed to collect funds for the above
And let not those who covetously withhold of that which Allah has bestowed on them of His bounty (wealth) think that it is good for them; the things which they covetously withheld (Zakat) shall be tied to their necks like a color on the Day of Resurrection.” [3:180]

The Night Prayer: At-Tarawheeh

The Night Prayer/At-Tarawheeh means to stand in prayer at night during the month of Ramadan. It starts after the ‘isha’ prayer until the start of fajr.
“Whoever stood in the prayer in Ramadan with faith and hoping for the reward, will have his previous sins forgiven.” Bukhari and Muslim
How to Perform At-Tarawheeh
The night prayer is in pairs if two. You should perform eleven raka’aat, pronouncing the tasleem after every two, and then concluding the prayer with one rak’ah of Witr.
The sunnah for Tarawheeh prayers is eleven rak’ahs. The tasleem (as-Salamu ‘Alaykum) should be done after every two rak’ahs.
“two by two; and if any of you fears that the dawn is about to break, then he should pray one rak’ah, which will be witr for what he has already prayed.” Bukhari and Muslim
It is Recommended to Prolong the Tarawheeh Prayers
Praying slowly and prolonging the prayers is better and more complete, as long as it does not cause any hardship. Praying extremely quickly will cause the prayer to be invalid because it could cause abandonment of obligatory acts and pillars of prayer.
Can Women Attend the Tarawheeh Prayers?
Women can attend the Tarawheeh prayers; however, they must dress modestly and not beautify themselves with perfume or makeup, or anything that will cause fitna.
Sunnah: The Night Prayer/At-Tarawheeh
It is the sunnah to perform the taraeheeh prayer in the nights of Ramadan. He who performs the Tarawheeh prayer with the imam until the end, it would be considered as though he had spend the whole night praying.

When is Eid Al-Fitr 2014: When Does Ramadan End?

1st of Shawwal will be on Monday, July 28, 2014

May Allah bless and protect all the Muslims around the world and grant us Jenna. Ameen!

Welcome Ramadan With Open Arms

Praise be to Allah, Peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his companions and those who follow him until the Day of Judgement. Don’t forget to welcome Ramadan with open arms this year!
This month is a great time for all of us to take a closer look our Deen, repent, ask Allah to guide us to the straight path (because there are many paths out there, but only one true path, ie., the path which the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa Salam and his companions were upon), and save us from the torment of the Hell-Fire. This month is also a great time to recharge and strengthen our Iman and ask Allah to make us better Muslims because most of us have strayed far away from Islam and continue to disobey our Lord and pay no heed to His commandments. Use the Quran and the Sunnah as your guide when in doubt!
Below is a list of a few features, advantages and virtues of the month of Ramadan. Take a look:
  • This month is very special because this is the month in which the Noble Quran was revealed.
  • In one of the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan will be a night of Degree. Worshipping Allah that night and standing for Tarawheeh is better than any other night. Allah says, “The night of Al-Qasr (Decree) is better than a thousand months.” [97:3]
  • Allah sets His servants free from Hell-Fire every night in Ramadan.
  • The doors of Hell are closed in the month of Ramadan and the gates of Paradise are opened. All of the Satans are chained during this month.
  • The smell coming from the mouth of a fasting person is better and beloved to Allah than the aroma of musk.
  • The angels will continue to ask for forgiveness and mercy for those who fast up until they break their fast.
  • Allah addresses His inhabitants every day of this month.
  • Allah will forgive all the sins of His servants who observed fasting the way it should be observed, and rid them of their acts of disobedience.
And, Allah knows best.

Welcome Ramadan with open arms this year and every year!

Fasting in the Month of Ramadan

“Oh’ you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous.” Take a look at fasting in Ramadan, its benefits and more.
The Benefits of Fasting in Ramadan
There are numerous benefits of fasting, some of which are listed below:
  1. Fasting is an act of worship which brings the slave closer to his Lord. The slave abandons the things which he loves, such as sex and food so that he will attain the pleasure of his Lord and achieve success in the Hereafter. Thus he chooses the life of the hereafter over the life of this world.
  2. Fasting helps one to gain self-control.
  3. Fasting is a means of piety i.e. fasting is prescribed for us as it was prescribed for those before us, that we may become righteous.
  4. Fasting also has many health benefits which are attained due to reducing the amount of food that is consumed. This allows the gastrointestinal tract to take a break. It also removes harmful substances from the body, and so on.
  5. Fasting helps us to remember our poor brothers and sisters in Islam by giving charity and treating them well. The wealthy person will be more appreciative of the many blessings that Allah has bestowed upon him, inshallah!
  6. Fasting will help to refine our manners and improve our behavior.
The fasting person must act in accordance with what Allah has commanded and refrain from the things which He has forbidden.
Fasting in Ramadan: Whoever did not abandon az-zoor (wrongdoing, etc.), or acting upon it, or ignorance, Allah has no need of his abandoning food and drink.” Bukhari

Read the Quran in Ramadan

"Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will receive a reward, and the reward is multiplied by ten. I do not say that Alif-Laam-Meem is a letter, rather Alif is a letter, Laam is a letter, and Meem is a letter."

When is Ramadan 2014

"O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious).

"When you see the crescent of the month of Ramadan start observing saum.

Ramadan begins on Sunday, June 29, 2014 inshallah.

May Allah accept your fast!

Eclipse - in Islam

The root of the prophecy lies in the Holy Quran since the eclipses of the moon and the sun are mentioned as important signs of the approach of Resurrection in the Holy Qur'an and the time of the advent of the Promised Spiritual Reformer is also the Latter Age.

When will be it's appointed time? No one knows but Allah. Let's prepare now and inshallah, we will be granted Jennah.

Oh Allah! Please give us the good of this life and the good of the Hereafter, and bless us with Jennah. Ameen.

Message of the Day - in Islam

Has not the story reached them of those before them?
the People of Noah (pbuh), and 'Ad, and Thamud;
the People of Abraham (pbuh), the men of Madian,
and the cities overthrown.
To them came their Messengers with clear signs.
It is not Allah Who wrongs them,
but they wrong their own souls.

Books of Allah / God

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Allah sent Prophets and Messengers to different people and at different times to guide mankind. Allah sent guidance/revelation through His Prophets and Messengers. This is to show how Merciful Allah is and His revelation is the Greatest Gift to Mankind.

Angel Jibreel () brought the revelation to Allah’s Prophets. They were Allah’s message to man and were collected in the form of books. Some of these Books are listed below.

The Books of Allah

1.      Suhuf – given to Prophet Ibraheem
2.      Zaboor – given to Prophet Dawood/David
3.      Tawraah – given to Prophet Musa/Moses
4.      Ingeel – given to Prophet Isa/Jesus
5.      Qura’an – given to Prophet Muhammad (the last Prophet)

All of these Books had the same message of Tawheed that is ‘There is no God but Allah’. All of these Books were lost or changed by man, except for the Qura’an. The Qura’an is still in Its original form without any alterations. Allah has protected the Qur’an which is the last and final divine book on earth and to all of mankind.
